Norwich Area Pubs

National Chains

Tager Inns

1. : Advent

This firm was registered in Poole, Dorset,
on 11th February 1999.

The second Norwich pub taken over by Tager appears
to have been the Coachmakers Arms,
St. Stephen's Road in May 2000;  the first
- by that date - being the Mitre, Earlham Road.

By 2003 the Bridge House, Riverside Road had joined
the list; and by November of that year so had the
Cat & Fiddle, Magdalen Street and Catherine Wheel,
St. Augustine's Street.

The Cricketers' Rest, Queen's Road had left Tager Inns
by August 2004, and the takeover by that firm was
possibly as recent as the previous December.

2. : Disappearance

Despite the firm also taking over several pubs in the
Great Yarmouth area, during this period, the last set
of company accounts produced by Tager Inns was
for the year ending 31st March 2006.
The status of the firm is thought to be 'dissolved'.

3. : The Present

Of course, this leaves the obvious question of
who owns the six Norwich pubs in particular.
