1. : Kirkpatrick
J. Kirkpatrick is listed in the Bibliography, with a
publication date of 1889. In fact he died in 1728,
at the age of 42, so his book was written at least
161 years earlier !.
His relevance to the Ninhams is in his other, graphical,
work upon the City Gates; apparently all carried out
in 1720.
2. : Henry Ninham
We take the son first, as it was he who engraved
Kirkpatrick's sketches - for publication in 1864.
On his own account he made many sketches of
streets and buildings in the City, in his long lifetime
1793 - 1874.

3. : John Ninham
Henry's father was the other artist to work directly
upon the Gates; sketching in 1792/3, in the period
immediately before their destruction began.
In turn, his work was engraved for publication
in 1861 by Robert Fitch, under the title
Views of the Gates of Norwich.
