Bottom   :  Previous group   :  Back to area

South-West (inner) : Unthank

Division 5 : Area 1

Hospital : group 3

. . . 5 pubs in this group . . . 3 still serving.

Meaning of symbols

The area actually closest to the old N. & N. Hospital is
"New City", already catered for by Groups 1 and 2
in particular.

The present Group is named for dramatic effect;
but merely means the pubs clustered around the
"corner" of the Inner Ring Road (Chapelfield Road)
and the A.11 (Newmarket Road).

  An equally good description is pubs surrounded by
St. Stephen's Square.

N.B.
The pubs on the corner opposite the Hospital
are in the Southern Division (Group 5).

Listing
The pubs are listed going East to the corner, then South.
