Apparently changed from a private hotel to a pub
in April 1988.

At the time £750,000 was spent on
re-furbishment ! The result was a
large family-restaurant type of establishment.

By 2000 the pub was tied to Greene King,
under the "Hungry Horse" brand.

Currently (2011) part of the Fatso's empire,
probably with a new brand name.
Principal owners are : Anglia Restaurants Ltd.

There may still be a separate games area (pool table,
darts); the obligatory Sky Sports large TV
and childrens' play area.
