After Courage Brewery left the scene, the pub was
tied to Pubmaster, then probably Enterprise Inns,
before becoming a free house (undated*).

In February 2005 Adrian Hennessy found
two real ales on offer in this 'cosy local'.

The pub was closed for some months before
October 2011. Diane Gillick, a landlady with
43 years experience in the trade, then took a lease
for 5 years - the ownership* remaining uncertain.

Plans include a makeover of the outside seating
area - i.e. the rear beer garden to be refurbished.
Hopefully by August 2012 the kitchen will be
up and ready, so the pub can start doing
bar snacks ready for the winter.

The pub also has live music on Saturdays,
karaoke on Sundays, and two darts teams.
