Notes ..
See Research re 1937 extension.
Although a single bar pub, there remain three
wood-panelled rooms (one with a pool table).
Internal features, still observable (Winter 2011),
are nearly all dated to that 1930s era.
They include - in the main bar - 'fielded' panelling,
a panelled counter, brick fireplace and leaded windows.
The bar-back, largely 1930s, has some more modern
items e.g. small glass pieces from the 1960s, or later.
The bar, overall, has been made larger in recent years
by the incorporation of a lobby area.
On the right is a splendid small snug with more oak
panels on the walls and, again, a 1930s brick fireplace.

The small dining-room (rear left) has a 1930s
wood surround; but with new tiles and fireplace.
It is served by a hatch/doorway.
After Watney's, Brent Walker arrived.
By 1990 Chef and Brewer were in place.
The pub has been latterly under the control of Pubmaster.
By June 2007 the pub had incorporated a Chinese and Vietnamese food takeaway business.,
which is esp. popular at Sunday lunchtimes.
Norfolk Nips, Winter 2011, states that no Real Ale is on offer.
