 Meaning of symbols
White Lion Street, now that it connects The Walk to
Castle Mall, has recently become much more famous.

However, prior to the building of Davey Place (1813),
it had always been a very important thoroughfare i.e.
leading to Castle Street, the Back of the Inns
and Orford Hill/Timberhill.
