Notes .. Phoenix Inns owned the pub before June 1996;
as they advertised it for sale at that time.
It is unclear when the pub became a freehouse.
By September 2006 Adrian Hennessy reported
another make-over, resulting in a new bar and stylish, unfussy interior.
Adrian noted two Wolf Brewery real ales on offer.
In April 2010, after several months of closure, the
Grain Brewery bought the pub; as their first tied house.
The brewery, at Alburgh - near Harleston -
has been in business since August 2006

The pub re-opened in the middle of May.
Surprisingly, there is a beer garden at the rear,
of considerable size, terraced into the steep hill.
The new owners have re-planted the garden, and
hope it will become a major feature of the pub.
[Norfolk Nips August 2010]
The pub now usually has 3 or 4 Grain beers,
plus two 'guest' beers, on offer.
